Some of your favorite books could be coming to the big screen.

Maybe Hollywood is out of ideas. Or maybe they've come to their senses and realized there is a market for nostalgic books being made into films. We've seen several Stephen King adaptations come to fruition and now we may have another author getting behind the camera.

Judy Blume has spent some time in Los Angeles talking with some people who could make it happen.

The author recently tweeted that she was partaking in some meetings. She even asked her audience which books should be considered. The tweet ended with a simple sentence, "I think the time has come."

We're talking about a big part of many of our childhoods being pulled off of the shelves. I don't know about you, but I'm trying not to be protective here. How often have we loved a book and then left the theater disappointed in what we saw. I hope that doesn't happen with Blume's work.

One of her most popular books has to be "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." This seems to be one of the most requested titles in the responses to her tweet. Of course, the most common response was "all of them."
