United States Senator John Kennedy talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about his motion to require all lawmakers to teach public school at least one day a year. The state's junior solon also brings KEEL listeners up to date on the current of the Republican tax bill.

Kennedy says his idea for lawmakers in classrooms comes from something he's done for years and that he's learned that it's harder than ever "to be a teacher and a student."

In reference to the tax legislation, Kennedy says he expects the measure to pass and that the bill will give tax relief to a vast majority of individuals and businesses.
