Among the numerous revenue raising ideas being considered during the state legislature's current session is the Commercial Activity Tax (CAT), which the Governor says "will ensure that all business entities pay their fair share"

Louis Avallone, Chairman of the Republican Party of Caddo Parish, talks with 101.7 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright, saying that the tax, which has the backing of Governor Edwards, would have be hurtful to businesses of all sizes and damage the economy by taking more money from the pockets of consumers.
