Shreveport Police are searching for a suspect accused of using a baseball bat to rob a woman Tuesday night in the 4600 block of Monkhouse Drive.

According to investigators, the female victim was struck several times with the bat before the man robbed her and fled the scene. And, apparently, this isn't the first attack of its kind.

Police Chief Alan Crump tells KEEL News there have been two other similar attacks on women and the crimes may be related. Crump says the attacks have happened outside a business or retail area. So far, no attacks of this nature have occurred in a residential neighborhood.

If you have any information on the bat wielding suspect, the robberies or any information that could be useful to police, call Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or submit a tip online anonymously here.
