Mental illness is becoming a bigger topic of discussion following the gun control debate.  710 KEEL spoke with Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy about the status of mental healthcare in America, where he says the federal government's role in the system is a detriment to the health of the patients and to those who care for the people who suffer from these diseases.  This comes after the nation began to close down large mental health asylums in the 1960s.  Those facilities were designed to hold large numbers of mentally ill and exclude them from normal society.  So, are we as a nation doing enough to ensure we are treating those with mental illness properly?  Let us know in today's 710 KEEL Seize the Deal Poll Question of the Day.
