Since Caddo Schools were consolidated last year, many parents are worried that this is causing problems in the classroom. One issue is discipline. Teacher union leaders say the number of cases is way up...and parents agree. There are also concerns about the dropout rate and attendance numbers.

But Superintendant Gerald Dawkins says attendance numbers have actually improved. School Board Member Curtis Hooks says discipline is a major problem in our schools and it's time to wake up and address it. He says several teachers have told him they are often afraid in the classroom.
