Inmate Injured in I-20 Wreck

A work release inmate was hit by a car Thursday morning while picking up litter on I 20 near Jewella. According to police, a driver over corrected, hit the retaining wall, struck the inmate and then crashed into another vehicle.

The inmate was taken to the hospital and is suffering from non life threatening injuries.
