Identity Of Body Found In Red River Saturday Revealed

Caddo Parish Coroner Dr. Todd Thoma says the body found in the Red River early Saturday is that of a Pennsylvania woman who was passing through Shreveport.

31-year-old Betty Margaret Greer is believed to have been sitting on a post on the railroad bridge when she was hit by a train and possibly knocked into the river.

Greer's body was discovered more than two miles away from where she's thought to have fallen into the water.

Investigators may never know why Greer was on the railroad bridge.
