I-220 to Close Saturday

Last year, SWEPCO had some overhead supports collapse along part of I-220. Now, the utility has a permit from the State Department of Transportation and Development to repair that…but it’s going to shut down the portion of the highway between Jefferson Paige Road and I-20 for most of Saturday. DOTD’s Jodi Conachen says the work is being done between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. that day. She says she knows it’s invasive work, but it has to be done.
