I-20 Drug Bust in Bienville Parish

A traffic stop on I-20 in Bienville Parish has led to two arrests and the seizure of a large amount of marijuana.  It started when a trooper pulled over a car on I-20 eastbound about 6 miles west of Arcadia.  

The trooper asked for permission to search the car and its 26-year-old driver -- Christopher Taylor of Columbia, South Carolina -- consented.  Hidden in the car, troopers found more than 18 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $55,000.

Tayor was arrested and charged with improper lane usage, possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to distribute.  His 25-year-old passenger -- Jirek Mack of Cayce, South Carolina -- was charged with possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute.  Both were booked into the Bienville Parish Jail.
