I’m pretty sure Valentine’s Day is the one day a year where a lot of us wonder if we picked out the right present for our significant other and wonder if we will in fact match the gift that our significant other gifts us. This weekend my boyfriend and I strolled into a few different jewelry stores while we were at the mall and we had jewelers ask what size of ring I was, they were sure to reiterate how close valentine's day was to my boyfriend. That’s when I instantly panicked. These crazy expensive $300 earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings were all on sale strategically right before Valentine’s Day. Now I’m not one to hate on jewelry, I am more of a pizza and wine kind of girl, however I started to wonder what if my boyfriend thinks this is what I want for Valentine's day? What if he thinks that I am waiting on $300 earrings? Do I have to go and buy him a $300 shotgun? Should I try to find out what he’s going to give me this Valentine’s Day and match it dollar for dollar? I can’t be the only when that gets stressed out when Valentine’s Day is around the corner right? How do you gauge it? What is that magical equation that you used to determine how much you’re going to spend on your significant other? Do you do it based off of years you have already spent together? Tell us your strategy to get through Valentine's day in the comments below!
