Several Louisiana cities have made WalletHub's 'Most & Least Educated Cities' list, but it's not necessarily good news for us.

The personal finance website compared the 150 largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas across nine key metrics, including percentage of adults aged 25 and older with a bachelor's degree, and the attainment gap between men and women.

Shreveport-Bossier ranked 127th out of 150. New Orleans-Metairie came in at 106th, while Lafayette was much lower on the list at 142nd.

The top five areas were Ann Arbor, Michigan; Washington, D.C.; Madison, Wisconsin; Provo, Utah; and Colorado Springs, Colorado. The bottom five were Brownsville, Texas; Visalia, California; Bakersfield, California; McAllen, Texas; and Beaumont, Texas.
