A Homer man has been sentenced to just over three years in prison for stealing more than $59,000 from his Claiborne Parish employer's bank account.

U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says 47-year-old John Bob, Jr., was charged with one count of bank fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft. He was also sentenced to five years of supervised release and ordered to pay restitution.

According to evidence presented at his July 15 guilty plea, Bob used his employer's debit card and PIN to make roughly 200 withdrawals totaling $59,602 from May 2012 to July 2013 from banks across northwest Louisiana.
