The Bossier Sheriff's Office is looking for three or four males who committed a home invasion and robbery early this morning in Haughton.

The victims told sheriff's detectives that the men, wearing masks and gloves and carrying guns, attacked them at their home in the Dogwood South subdivision just after 5:30 this morning. The male resident was returning home from a business in Shreveport, when he was initially attacked. The suspects appeared to have been waiting for him.

The suspects duct-taped the man and woman and robbed them of money and jewelry. They hit the couple multiple times. The man was treated for minor to moderate injuries. Two small children were inside the home at the time, but were unharmed.

Investigators are looking over home surveillance video to come up with better descriptions of the suspects and the type of vehicle they were driving.

Anyone with information about this crime or identity of the suspects or their vehicle should contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at 318-424-4100 or the Sheriff's Office at 318-965-2203.

According to a BSO news release, there have been reports on social media sites today that there have been multiple home invasions in Dogwood South, but these reports are untrue. It also says this morning's crime is the first home invasion in the entire parish that the Bossier Sheriff's Office has investigated for quite some time.

There have been some vehicle burglaries in the Dogwood area, however. Sheriff Julian Whittington reminds residents to stay vigilant and look out for one another. Report any problems to the sheriff's office.
