A locally-owned business that's been owned and operated by the same family since 1960 will celebrate its 55th anniversary this week.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce is honoring Holiday Lanes with 'Business After Hours,' which comes with free admission, complimentary bowling, beer-tastings by Flying Heart Brewing, and a celebratory roll of a special emerald bowling ball by a 'special guest.'

Beer-tastings will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, since supplies are limited.

"What better way to toast our fifty-fifth year in business than by raising a glass of Bossier City's first craft beer, Flying Heart Brewing, which we will be serving at Holiday Lanes," said the bowling alley's managing partner Melanie Coleman in a news release. "My dad launched this business in 1960, and he would be so proud of the community that we continue to build in 2015."

The event is set for 5-7 PM Thursday, September 24, at the business at 3316 Old Minden Road in Bossier City. The ball-rolling is scheduled for 5:30PM, and the anniversary cake will be cut at 5:45.
