Haughton High football coach Rodney Guin's recovery from a massive heart attack this past April has been described as 'near miraculous'. Well, come the first week of September the miracle will be complete as Guin takes his usual spot on the sidelines in the Buccaneers season opener against Woodlawn.

"We're going to be on the sideline," Guin told Tim Fletcher of AM1130 The Tiger. "We're getting through practice OK, and the games are later in the day. Our plan is to be on the sideline doing what we do."

"I'm sure we'll sit there and think how fortunate we are that God took care of us," Guin told Fletch. "We have another chance to continue doing what we love to do. It will be neat the first night we get to go out -- for me and the people in Haughton."

This year will mark Guin's 15th at Haughton. His 111 wins are the most in school history.
