HAUGHTON WOMAN ARRESTED FOR IDENTITY THEFT

Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a woman was arrested yesterday morning for identity theft.

Donita Rose Puglisi, 48, of the 100 block of Skipper Lane in Haughton, was arrested after she admitted to taking her neighbor’s debit card without permission. The neighbor noticed the card missing and notified the Bossier Sheriff’s Department. She stated that someone had taken the card and spent approximately $500 on it.

Upon further investigation, deputies decided to interview Puglisi. After being Mirandized, she stated that she “only borrowed the card” and intended to pay the victim back. She went on to say that the victim owed her the money for all she has done for her.

Puglisi was arrested and booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. Her bond is pending.
