Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center is 15 years old today -- Thursday, November 21st -- and Saturday, the 23rd, Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s (LPB) "Sid the Science Kid" character will be at the Center from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. to help celebrate the birthday with an activity, along with cake and Sci-Port’s famous Liquid Nitrogen ice cream at 10:30 a.m.

An episode of "Sid the Science Kid" will be showing on the Center’s SWEPCO Demonstration Theater screen, and the activity - Estimation Exploration - will take place in the Light and Color Lab. Visitors will be able to take pictures with Sid, and take home a goody bag provided by LPB. Door prizes will also be given away.

Participation in the program and/or birthday celebration is included with Sci-Port’s admission price. Complementary birthday cake and Liquid Nitrogen ice cream will be available to visitors while supplies last.

The event is sponsored in part by VINCI. VINCI for Home tablets containing Sid content will be on hand for attendees to experience.
