Grooms Named Principal of the Year

A big honor for a local educator. Cope Middle School Principal Judy Grooms is this year’s Louisiana Middle School Principal of the Year. Grooms has been at Cope for the past 23 years — as a teacher, counselor, and now prinicipal. In addition to receiving several prizes — including $2,500 — Grooms will also represent Louisiana later this year when she travels to Washington, D.C. to be recognized and honored at the White House.
