Greatest Hockey Fight That Never Was – Bruins 6’9″ Defenseman Zdena Chara
At 6' 9" and close to 260 pounds, Boston Bruins defenseman Zdena Chara is as close to a frightening figure as exists in the National Hockey League.
After a couple of cheap shots against the boards and a minor bumps and stick pokes, Detroit's Brendan Smith - at a mere 6'2" - decides it's time to take on the Boston big man.
Watch how Chara holds Smith at bay with seemingly little effort, and when the official steps in, Smith seems to be saying, 'Thanks. Just in the nick of time!'
