Grants To Help Fix Local Water Systems

On Monday, Governor John Bel Edwards announced over 13 million dollars worth of Community Development Block Grants. The money is to help communities provide a suitable living environment for citizens. The money is awarded to the state annually by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Locally, Caddo Parish will get 364 thousand to construct a new well and water main. Plain Dealing will get 375 thousand to construct a new ground storage tank. and Webster will get 274 thousand to upgrade the water distribution system.
