With the drastic weather changes, are you worried about getting sick during this incredibly busy time of year? The American Red Cross reminds you...it's not too late to get your flu shot! And you can do that tomorrow, November 2nd, at LSU-S. Red Cross officials will be at the University Center administering vaccinations from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Those cost $25, but Medicare can no longer be accepted. However, if you're insured through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana, you can get those free. Pneumonia vaccinations will also be available for $30. The flu vaccine covers the regular, seasonal flu -- plus H1N1 and two other strains.  The Red Cross recommends you get your flu shots NOW, because it typically takes a couple of weeks for the vaccine to take effect.
