Attorney Larry English of Gateway Development Corporation talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the latest plans for the 10 year, $1 billion Cross Bayou proposal. GDC makes their first public presentation to the Shreveport City Council at the council work session on May 21, with plans to vote on a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding on the 22nd.

English tells KEEL listeners that following the councils defeat of Mayor Ollie Tylers previous Cross bayou plan, "Afterwards I had dinner with Curtis Joseph and Paul Pratt, that was already scheduled, and they were asking me what I thought about the project and I said that I noticed that everybody...thought Cross bayou should be developed." English continued, "The first part of the problem is that (the project) is too small. If you're going to really develop Cross Bayou...and it's going to take you at least a decade to do that."
