Chesapeake Energy has dedicated its "Football" Gas Gathering System in the Village of Ashland in Natchitoches Parish. The six-acre site will gather and transport up to 20-million cubic feet of natural gas per day from three wells. That gas will then be transferred to interstate pipelines and distributed to other parts of the country. Chesapeake's Director of Corporate Development, Paul Pratt, says, "The Football GGS clearly demonstrates our commitment to a long-term presence in the Haynesville Shale."
