Gas Explosion Rocks Washington Parish

A gas line explosion rocked Washington Parish near the community of Enon this morning.

WWL-TV reports they were receiving phone calls about the blast as early as 5:30 this morning.  Florida Gas, who owns the gas line, turned off the gas at 6:45.

The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office says no injuries have been reported, but a mobile home did receive some damage from the blast.

Sheriff Randy Seal says the gas line is located off Lee Road and smoke is still coming from the site, but it "appears the fire is out."
