Discovery Days – “Gardening at Chimp Haven”

Saturday is an exciting day for Chimp Haven...because it's another Chimpanzee Discovery Day! And sanctuary officials say this month's event promises to be fun for the whole family. The theme is "Gardening at Chimp Haven," and guests will learn about the gardens planted by staff members and how the team cares for those, as well as hear about the chimpanzees' favorite foods that come straight from the gardens. For the kids, there will be interactive games activities at the Nature Trail. Admission is free, but you're encouraged to bring a "gift" for the chimps -- like trail mix, plastic sand toys and ice pops.
