The Consul General of France in Louisiana pays his first visit to Shreveport/Bossier tomorrow and Friday.  Consul General Jean-Claude Brunet is coming to Barksdale Air Force Base to bestow the Legion of Honor upon World War II veteran William Hines. He's been named Chevalier in the Legion by virtue of a decree signed by French President Sarkozy. Hines, who's a native of Ruby, Louisiana, is being honored for his contribution to the liberation of France during World War II. While he's here, Mr. Brunet will also meet with Centenary College representatives to sign an agreement that will let Centenary participate in an exchange program that will train two-hundred Louisiana teachers to teach French.
