Once each year, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries waives the state's fishing license requirement as a way to encourage more recreational fishing.  And this year's "Free Fishing Weekend" is this one coming up. On June 11th and 12th, you can dust off that old rod and reel that have been taking up space in the closet and wet a line anywhere in the state without having to go out and buy a license.  What's more, LDWF and the Office of State Parks will be teaming up Saturday to host Family Fishing Day from 9:00 until 1:00 at Lake D'Arbonne state Park in Farmerville, Bogue Chitto State Park in Franklinton, and Chicot State Park in Ville Platte.
