Fraud, Arson, Murder Cases in Caddo District Court Today

A variety of cases in Caddo District Court today. 38-year-old Keena McCalman will be in court for arguments and hearings on 72 counts of obtaining a controlled dangerous substance by fraud. Investigators say McCalman illegally obtained hydrocodone from a number of pharmacies from August 2008 through August 2010. 40-year-old Gary Vinson is set for arguments and hearings on 12 counts of simple arson and four counts of aggravated arson. He's accused of setting fires to vehicles and buildings along Texas Street in August 2009. And 65-year-old Lavoni Bayone is scheduled for further proceedings on a second-degree murder charge. She's accused of the July 2008 shooting death of her husband Peter at a residence in the 2800 block of Round Grove.
