Four former LSU Tigers will be on the field in Houston, Texas Sunday when the Atlanta Falcons take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.

Ex-LSU stars Jalen Collins, Tyson Jackson and Deion Jones will be suiting up for the NFC champ Falcons, while only one, Barkevious Mingo, is on the Pats roster.

Collins, a defensive back originally from Mississippi, played three seasons in Baton Rouge. After red-shirting his freshman year, he roamed the Tigers secondary from 2012 to 2014, then foregoing his final year for the NFL.

Veteran defensive end Jackson, who hails from West St. John, was another freshman redshirt, then was a defensive mainstay from 2006 - 2008, before being drafted by Kansas City, then joining the Falcons in 2014.

Rookie linebacker Jones is a New Orleans native and was a second round Atlanta pick. Surprisingly, Jones was a back-up for the Tigers in his first three seasons.

Mingo was born in Florida, but played his high school ball in West Monroe before joining the Tigers in 2009.  The man known to teammates as "Keke" was drafted by the Browns in 2013, but was traded to New England just before the start of this season.

Three Falcons, one Patriot, but four former LSU stars who will carry the tradition of the Purple and Gold into another Super Bowl, each going for the championship ring in the biggest game of their lives.
