A series of vehicle burglaries in south Bossier are cleared, thanks to an alert police officer.

Monday morning, a man reported his 2004 Chevy Impala was stolen from his home in the 5700 block of Bayou Circle. While en route to the call, an officer spotted the stolen vehicle traveling on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway and pulled it over.

The 14-year-old male driver and his passenger, 28-year-old Bryan Marshall, both of Bossier City, were taken into custody. Following a day-long investigation by the Property Crimes Unit, the 14-year-old and Marshall, along with two other suspects, were linked to at least five vehicle burglaries that happened the night before in Golden Meadows and Southgate Estates.

The other two arrested were 17-year-old Jacob Poindexter and a 16-year-old male, also of Bossier City. The charges are as follows:

Marshall - Theft of a motor vehicle, possessing stolen things, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, five counts of simple burglary.

Poindexter - Five counts of simple burglary.

14-year-old male - Theft of a motor vehicle, possessing stolen things, driving without a license, five counts of simple burglary.

16-year-old male - Five counts of simple burglary.

The 14-year-old and 16-year-old's names can't be released, since they're juveniles. They were both booked into the Ware Juvenile Correctional Center in Coushatta. Marshall and Poindexter were booked into the Bossier City Jail.

Detectives have recovered property -- including money, credit cards, clothing and electronics -- taken during the burglaries. Police say each of the vehicles was left unlocked, which serves as a reminder to residents to always lock your vehicles and keep your valuables out of sight.
