Four more people have died from West Nile virus in Louisiana and 15 new cases have been reported in the past week. The Department of Health and Hospitals says 8 of those new infections were the most serious neuro-invasive disease -- one each in Bossier, Caddo, Concordia, Jefferson, Tangipahoa, Union, Washington, and Webster parishes. There were also five cases of West Nile Fever and two asymptomatic cases. So far this year in Louisiana, DHH has detected 68 cases of the disease, 37 of those were neuro-invasive, and six people have died from it.
