Former Shreveport Store Clerk Arrested for Theft

A former store clerk is arrested for stealing from her employer.

According to the Caddo Sheriff's Office, 44-year-old Candee Brown is accused of pocketing more than $60,000 from a Fairfield Ave. convenience store since February. The store's managers investigated after an internal audit revealed massive shortages from the business. They found Brown had been ringing up customers, accepting their money, then cancelling the sales and keeping the cash. She also regularly allowed friends and acquaintances to leave without paying for items.

She was arrested at a hotel on Monkhouse Drive and booked into Caddo Correctional Center on a theft charge.
