Former Shreveport Fire Captain Returned from Texas, Booked
Former Shreveport Fire Captain Derrick Harris is back in town.
Deputies with the Caddo Sheriff's Office Warrants Division picked him up today in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and brought him back here so he could be booked into Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of terrorizing. He's accused of threatening the lives of some Shreveport Fire Department employee in a Facebook post. His bond is set at $250,000.
Harris' return to Shreveport came just in time for a scheduled appearance in Caddo District Court tomorrow morning. He and three other former Station 8 firefighters are to appear before Judge Ramona Emanuel at 9:30 in the morning for further proceedings in a case that accuses them of abusing two disabled men.
