[Update] Humphries was arrested around 3:30 this afternoon in Dixie Inn. Employees of a truck stop there recognized him and called Dixie Inn police. He was arrested without incident.

[Original] A former Bossier and DeSoto Parish sheriff’s deputy is now being sought on three counts of molesting juveniles in Bossier Parish.

Louisiana State Police troopers are looking for 34-year-old Jeffery Scott Humphries of Stonewall. He’s a white male, about 160 pounds and is 5’11″ tall. He may be using the alias Jason Scott Bowen.

State Police Troop G spokesman Brett Davis tells KEEL News that Humphries was last seen in Minden, but doesn’t have any family there. He may have family in DeSoto Parish, though.

Humphries has prior military and law enforcement experience. Bossier Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Davis tells 710 KEEL that Humphries was hired by the BSO in May 2005 and terminated his employment in March 2011. The department’s understanding was that he wanted to pursue employment at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Humphries is also a trained martial artist.Trooper Davis says he’s an experienced knife fighter, so is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you’re encouraged not to approach him. Instead, call your nearest law enforcement agency immediately.

If you know where he can be found, contact LSP Troop G at 741-7461.
