The Food Bank Of Northwest Louisiana will be providing some needed relief to those affected by the flood in Bossier City.

A press release from the food bank states:

The Food Bank of Northwest of Louisiana will be distributing water and MRE’s at three locations in Bossier Parish at a Point of Distribution (POD) for Bossier Parish flood victims. Bossier Parish residents may attend one of the three locations:

 

Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm at Platt Elementary, 680 Hwy 80 in Haughton
Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 9am – noon at Elm Grove Elementary, 1541 Hwy 71, Bossier City
Saturday, March 19, 2015 from 3pm - 7pm at Curtis Elementary, 5600 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City

 

The Food Bank will also be providing information on Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) benefits. The Department of Health and Hospitals will be providing tetanus vaccines at all three sites.

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana provides 9 million pounds of food annually to the children, women and men living in poverty, the homeless, elderly, disabled, unemployed and underemployed in Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, and De Soto Parishes. Each month 35,000 individuals receive food from the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
