FEMA's top brass will be in Louisiana today to meet with state officials about the flooding.

Craig Fugate, the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency will meet with Gov. John Bel Edwards today to discuss the needs and the response.

The governor's office says Fugate will travel to Louisiana to meet with the state's Unified Command Group to discuss the federal assistance available and response efforts.

Tangipahoa, St. Helena, East Baton Rouge and Livingston Parishes have been declared a federal disaster area. Disaster declarations for other parishes could come this week.

Some residents have started to return home to find out how bad the damage is. Some still have to use boats to get back in to their neighborhoods.

More than 10,000 people are still living in shelters.
