Flash Floods Wreaked Havoc in Shreveport/Bossier

2 inches of heavy rain caused flash flooding in some areas of Shreveport-Bossier Thursday evening leaving some folks stranded. Firefighters had to block parts of Youree Drive to keep drivers from venturing into the rushing water. On Shreveport Barksdale Highway, a pick up truck ended up submerged in the high waters. There were also reports of flooding in Bossier on Airline Drive and in Stonewall.

A transformer was hit by lightning Youree and 70th causing an explosion and knocking power. Luckily no one was injured during storm or transformer explosion.
