Five Shreveport women were involved in knife fight at a barbecue restaurant at 2:00 a.m. this morning.  Shreveport Police were called to Willis-Knighton Hospital on Greenwood Road where they spoke to Monica Samuels.  She has suffered non-life-threatening lacerations.

Police then learned that Samuels had been involved in an knife fight with four other women at Uncle Bucks in the 2900-block of Jewella Avenue.  Officers investigated the incident and found Timmie Stevenson, Atari Caldwell, Shontae Washington, and Kashunda Alford to have also been involved in the fight.

All of the women except Alford were arrested for disturbing the peace.  Alford was issued a summons for criminal property damage.  No word on what instigated the fight or if alcohol was a factor in the melee.
