Five Arrests Made in Latest Law Enforcement Checkpoint
Shreveport Police, Louisiana State Police and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office held a checkpoint Saturday night in the 2000 block of Clyde Fant Parkway. During the four-hour operation, officers checked just over 400 vehicles and handed out 16 citations for 24 violations, ranging from open container to no insurance. Five people were arrested, which police say should serve as a reminder to always choose a sober driver.

No mug shot was available for 23-year-old Nicholas Spann, who was also charged with DWI.
