We sat on bikes for 13 hours and were able to raise money for our local kids.

Yesterday was an intense and fun day. After committing to Miracle Challenge at the beginning of this month, we took it upon ourselves to go out in style. Adria Goins of KSLA, myself and the program director of Children's Miracle Network, Bobby Cox, came up with this idea and in our first year it was a success.

We were able to raise $2,500 for our local kids.

I'm sure that number will continue to grow as more people make more donations, but what an incredible number. That money will be used among the 17 programs at CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bosser that are funded by Children's Miracle Network. Those programs help our local kids and their families. Whether it's pediatric health services, therapy, or educational courses, families can use these services for free.

We had a lot of help yesterday too.

Since no one could sit on a bike for 13 hours straight we enlisted the help of the Shreveport Mudbugs, the Shreveport Rafters FC, member of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office and more.

The money we raised yesterday will be added to the money we have been raising now for 27 days. When I get those numbers, I will post them for all to see. I've heard that we have surpassed the number we raised when we did Miracle Challenge in September and that's all thanks to you.

If you would like to donate, you can still do so.
