Fire Prevention Week Activities for Area Schoolkids

This is National Fire Prevention Week, and the Shreveport Fire Department has events scheduled for area schoolkids all week long. Today through Wednesday, it's holding fire safety demos at Sheriff's Safety Town on Jewella Avenue. Thursday, Pluggie will visit Lake Bethlehem Head Start on MLK Drive at 10 a.m. and The Arc of Shreveport at 2 p.m. There's also a general fire safety demonstration going on at Creswell Elementary at 3:30 that afternoon. Friday, Pluggie will be at Brown E. Moore Head Start on Janet Lane from 10 a.m. til noon, and a Fire Safety Dress Up event is being held at Barrett Elementary at 1:45 that afternoon.
