A two-alarm fire kept Shreveport firefighters busy this morning. Fire Department Spokesman Scott Wolverton says an occupant of a one-story, wood-frame home in the 3000 block of Parkridge got up to get a glass of water, and noticed flames coming from the utility room. She pushed her EMS alert button, and officials showed up to find that the fire had spread to an adjacent home. That's when a second alarm was called. No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. A firefighter who was experiencing chest tightness was taken to the hospital for treatment. He's said to be doing O.K.
