Young minds get a workout this week...to improve their money smarts. The Society of Louisiana CPAs, Louisiana Banker's Education Council and Junior Achievement of North Louisiana have partnered once again for the Annual Financial Literacy Day at Central Elementary. Community volunteers will share their time and knowledge to educate the kids about work readiness, entrepreneurship and money management. A pep rally will kick off the day's events -- and Mayor Cedric Glover will issue a proclamation in honor of the day, to encourage all Shreveport citizens to do their part to help young folks understand the value of earning, saving, sharing and good citizenship. Things kick off just after 8 tomorrow morning and wrap up around one o'clock.
