UPDATE: Rig Overturns, Closes Busy Shreveport Road

West 70th Street at Bert Kouns Industrial Loop was still closed late this afternoon after an 18-wheeler overturned shortly before noon. The road was closed as a tow truck tried to right the Fed Ex rig.

Police were re-routing traffic at the busy intersection. It was so hot this afternoon with a heat index of near 105 that officers had to be alternated in and out.  There's no word of injuries involved in the accident, and the accident remains under investigation.
