External Audit Approved by Council

Where did all the money go? That's what some members of the Shreveport City Council want to know. So a majority of the council has voted to move forward with an investigation into the city's dealings with its financial adviser -- Grigsby and Associates. The action came over the objection of Council Chairman Sam Jenkins, who says an internal audit is already underway and needs to be given time to run its course.  Jenkins was joined in his opposition by Councilwoman Rose McCullough and Mayor Glover -- but the rest of the council has voted to move ahead with an external audit.
