Shreveport Police are on the lookout for a man who, based on evidence gathered at the scene of a crime, is believed to be responsible for a residential burglary.

The crime happened on March 6, 2016. Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to a residential burglary at a home located in the 7000 block of Sherwood Circle. The residence had been forcefully entered and items inside the home had been taken. Cpl Marcus Hines of the Shreveport Police Department tells us how the criminal may have been unmasked.

Patrol officers processing the scene of the burglary where able to gather evidence in the crime which was subsequently submitted for processing. Upon completion of evidence processing, a connection linking 22 year old Kevin McFarland to the crime was established. Property Crimes detectives assigned to the case where successful in procuring a warrant for the arrest of McFarland, who has been charged with a single count of Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. Bond in the matter has been set at $100,000.00.
