Empty Bowls Fundraiser Is Coming Up

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana's biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up in about a week-and-a-half. Food Bank Development Director Amie Roberts says the $30 admission cost gets you a painted bowl, a choice of three soups, dessert and drink. She says the soups are on the menu to illustrate that there are folks here who don't have the option to have steak and seafood. Roberts says there will be a lot of silent auction items up for grabs, as well. She says you don't have to get advanced tickets, but it's recommended that you do, so the Food Bank can get a basic head count. The event is being held at El Dorado Casino June 9th, from 6 to 9 p.m.
