In a recent report on Louisiana Public Broadcasting, political analyst - and frequent guest on 710 KEEL - Elliott Stonecipher discusses the outrageously high property taxes in Shreveport.

Says Stonecipher:

"Our taxes in Shreveport are 90% higher, for the same house, as they are in Lake Charles. Shreveport and Caddo taxes are much higher - 50% to 100% - depending on which of the taxes we're talking about, than Bossier, right next door."

Stonecipher's research also discovered that Shreveport's property taxes are 239% higher than Baton Rouge, 148% higher than Lafayette, 120% higher than Alexandria and 45% higher than New Orleans!
