An elderly woman has died after a two-car wreck in west Shreveport.

Police say 70-year-old Juanita Donahue was driving southbound in the 6900 block of Klug Pines Road, when her vehicle collided with that of 66-year-old Pauline Robertson, who was headed down W. 70th Street.

Both women were taken to local hospitals. Donahue was pronounced dead a short time later at LSU Health Shreveport. Robertson wasn’t seriously injured. She’s undergoing routine toxicology tests, but alcohol isn’t suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Detectives are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
